    • Nykki,

At this time there aren’t any walks in Missisippi, however we hope to be able to expand there soon. If you are interested in learning how to start a Community Kidney Walk, please email walk@kidney.org and someone will be in touch soon.

  1. just starting dialysis. And as im learning on what life is going to be like now. I figured rather than stay in the negative, id rather stay focused on my new way of life and what positive can be lived, by having end stage kidney failure. So I was wondering if there is a walk in/near my town of Stockton, ca.? And if there is not one local…can one be started? Im the type of person who is really going to have to stay busy with whats in store. Or I will get really really down. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

  2. My husband is on list waiting for his third transplant (he’s on PD again at 50 years old and has had kidney disease since he was very little. His first transplant was from his mom and lasted 8 years. Second transplant lasted about 17 years. I was a donor for my sister in law (my husband’s sister) about 14 years ago. I am also a breast cancer survivor and there is so much awareness and support for that here. How can I raise awareness for kidney transplantation and perhaps organize a walk in Fairbanks, AK where we currently live? I’ll also check with the dialysis clinic here and ask. Thank you 🙂

    • Kristi, We have had some interest from many volunteers in Oregon. Please send an email to walk@kidney.org with your contact information so we can have our staff on the West Coast reach out and link you up with other volunteers in the state. Thank you for your interest.

  3. I’m interested in starting a walk in my community Bryan/College Station,tx. I wanted to know what steps I need to take.
